The Claysville United Presbyterian Church is a communing member of the Presbyterian Church USA. We are a small community church in southwestern Pennsylvania in the town of Claysville. The church was founded in 1820 not far from the current building by the Rev. Thomas Hoge. You can learn more about our history here.
As a church, we seek to proclaim the gospel, support & maintain worship, nurture spiritual growth, and promote the spread of Christ’s good news. In order to accomplish these goals, we pursue several paths. We hold weekly Sunday school and church service. The choir and bell choir practice every week. Community outreach activities and donation drives are frequent. Church community building activities are also plentiful, such as picnics, the book club, and fellowship hours.
Service is at 11:00 a.m. on Sundays between September and May. Summer service is held at 10:00 a.m. Sunday school is held at 9:30 a.m. and is available to all ages. We warmly welcome visitors and new members to our services and activities. Like all Presbyterian churches, the Claysville United Presbyterian Church accepts new members by letter of transfer, reaffirmation of faith, or by adult baptism. Inquiries may be directed to our pastor.
